About Me
The world is filled with so many beautiful and fascinating things, and it inspires me to be creative.
I have always loved drawing and I find peace of mind when I draw. I most often draw traditionally with pencils, but I have enjoyed using Photoshop and Illustrator. I find it very satisfying to examine and draw various subjects; humans, insects, animals, fossils, and skulls to name a few.
I see myself as both a biologist and an artist, and as a result, I have a long educational background. I graduated from Northern Illinois University in 2015 with a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Illustration, Minor in Biology, Cum Laude distinction, and University Honors. I graduated from Iowa State University in 2021 with a Bachelor of Science in Biology and in 2022 with a Master of Science in Biomedical Sciences.
Education is very important to me. I grew up in a household that valued learning and stressed the importance of achieving a higher education. I learned the importance of sharing knowledge, keeping an open mind, seeing and understanding other perspectives, and striving for more knowledge since there is always more to learn. My educational background has given me a broad range of experiences and a well-rounded perspective of the world.
